Mammoth Gold Pumpkin Seeds

The mammoth gold produces large fruits, Perfect for Halloween or to be consumed . When grown correctly, the pumpkin can weigh up to 40kg! Pumpkins first originated in Mexico over 7,500 years ago, however these looked very different to the ones we're familiar with today. These pumpkins, or calabaza's as they were traditionally known as would be grown then roasted as a snack.

The flesh of the mammoth gold can be made into tasty soups and curry's while the seeds can be roasted olive oil and seasoning for a low calorie snack.

Fun Fact:
The idea of carving the pumpkins on Halloween is thought to have  originated in Ireland in the 19th century as a way to scare off evil spirit!

• 5 Seeds per packet
• Vining Squash / Pumpkins require a larger area to run
• For an early start (Mid / Late Apr) place a single seed edgeways 1/2inch deep in seed compost in a 3inch pot
• These are greedy plants
• Keep weed free to allow air circulation
