Fennel Seeds

Fennel is a sweet tasting herb with a strong licorice flavour. Historically this plant was considered 'magical' and was draped over doorways and placed in keyholes to stop ghosts entering during the night. Its modern uses are primarily food based, with seafoods being the most common, however it even tastes great raw!

Fennel goes perfectly with wild salmon. Start by making a simple relish using fresh fennel, green olives, red onion, parsley and lemon juice then drizzle over a slow cooked piece of salmon for a meal guaranteed to make your mouth water.

• 1gm per packet
• This can grow to a large plant therefore sow sparingly
• Keep the plants well-watered
• Prefers Full / Part sun in soil with ample organic matter
• If allowed to dry out the plant will quickly go to seed
