Basil Seeds

Basil is a member of the mint family and is believed to originate from India in 807 A.D. Nowadays, it is estimated that there are over 150 different varieties of basil with sweet basil being the most common.

The flavour of basil can be described as both sweet and savory, with a hint of mint and pepper. This herb is great for a variety of dishes such as pesto or of course, sprinkled on top of a pizza. If you're feeling adventurous you can even use it in ice cream! Not only having a great taste, basil contains plenty of antioxidants such as 'beta-carotene' which helps to maintain skin health and appearance.
